What is a Marketing Funnel

Apr 6

What is a funnel marketing approach and why do online marketers need to create one?

It's a marketing strategy that you employ to persuade prospective customers to purchase your product. It is a selling process by which a person visits your website looking for information that can help to solve a particular issue. You can build a relationship through specific tools.

This will allow you to understand the visitors' needs. This in turn will push you to offer the most accurate possible information for all visitors. If you can gain trust from a visitor, they are more likely to purchase your products. The customer will then turn into a buyer.

At some point, many customers turn into very loyal customers who are willing to purchase just about every item that you promote on your site. A marketing funnel outlines the steps involved in turning a visitor to your site into a customer that will come back to you for future purchases.

This is the ultimate objective of every online marketer. This is possible by using a funnel that is well-designed.

You've got your marketing resources to entice people's attention and bring them into your funnel. Once they fill out the PERSONAL questionnaire, they will be automatically enrolled in the funnel. I use the word "personal" because nobody will ever opt-in to your lead capture for business page. They are looking to be a leader and not a business.

Lead capture pages serve as the gateway to the funnel. Once they click "Signup Now" or "Enter There" and they'll be able to be entering a brand new world of network marketing.

The most important thing is that they're competent to perform the task. It's up to them. You haven't offered anything other than that you are a leader, mentor and someone who will help them get more leads, and more money into their business.

This is how a standard marketing funnel functions:

At the "front-end" you can offer an offer that is free to draw and attract people who might have an interest to purchase your products later on in the sales funnel. To get access to the product for free, users must sign up (also known as opt-in) and provide their email address and name which in turn are added to your list of email subscribers.

You now have these people on your email and you can send them related promotions that may be of interest to them.

They'll be directed to the page with a low-price offer or what is called a trip wire deal right after they sign up for the free offer. This is where they'll be taken to the "backend" of your funnel.

If they purchase the bargain price offer, they'll be taken to another related offer with a higher cost (normally called an upsell). And if the person also purchases the higher-priced offer, they'll be transferred to the next product at an even more expensive cost. This could go on for a long time.
